Do you desire a deeper relationship with Jesus?

“But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.” Deuteronomy 4:29

FIND JESUS WHEN YOU SEEK JESUS WITH YOUR WHOLE HEART.

You may have heard that many times or it may even be your first time, either way the truth of that statement remains the same. If you are not actively pursuing Jesus, you will not only not be able to find Him, you will not recognize His Presence in your life in spite of your distance. It takes more than attending church services. It's more than a "feeling" you get listening to praise and worship music. It is more than opening the Bible App and doing a devotion or filling your social media timelines with Christian content. It's more than giving to the church and/or to the poor and sick. It is a new life commitment led by the Holy Spirit of God in total surrender to Jesus.

A new life means: LIVING IN FAITH ENDURING. If you take the 'f' out of life, you end up with a lie, and the lie does not add up. Faith makes all the difference. Faith is what drives you to pursue Jesus and Jesus is Life.

"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." John 14:6

Getting to know Him according to His Word, simultaneously teaches you how to live and transforms your life by redeeming your mind and purifying your heart. Jesus sanctifies you. He sets you on a course that leads your away from sin and death. He leads you on the straight path to Heaven to dwell with our Heavenly Father and to spend eternity freely worshipping Him as a new creature.

Getting to know Jesus takes work through faith.

Fasting. You must let go of/flee from your old life and habits that cause you to turn away from Jesus. Fasting brings your flesh into subjection to the Word of God. (SEE ATTACHED FASTING GUIDE) It takes work through faith.

Prayer without ceasing. Constantly. Consistently. Daily. You must ask God to help you with everything. It's starting over as a newborn child and a newborn needs their parent for everything. God the Father is our Parent and we need Him for everything, even the things we have grown to think we can handle on our own. It takes work through faith.

Studying Daily. Jesus is the Bread of Life. We eat food daily to sustain our physical bodies right? How much more  then do we need the Holy Word of God daily to nourish our spiritual bodies? Without the Word of God on a daily basis, we leave ourselves open to attacks that can potentially draw us back into the life that Jesus saved us from. Just as we eat to survive in this world, we must eat The Word of God to die to our old lives. It takes work through faith.

Fellowship. It's not about a physical building, it's about spiritual bonding with individuals who have made the same choice to follow Jesus daily and to serve Him with their whole lives. You cannot do it alone, we are not meant to. The Word of God emphasizes the importance of the body of Christ, not simply the individuals who believe in Him. It is also essential to seek God for the church family that He wants you to join. Not all churches are yielding fruit, especiallly in this era of people pleasing and worldly worship. Not all churches are about the Word of God and being obedient to the Holy Spirit of God. If you do not prioritize Jesus, you can end up at one of those places and experience spiritual hindrances versus healing and growth. It takes work through faith.

Giving. Jesus gave His Life for us, to save the whole world. With Him giving His Life, are not we meant to give our worldly possessions that in no way equate to what He gave? We are meant to give 10% of our earnings because we could not earn anything except God allows us the life and breath to do so. It is an act of obedience and surrender to God. And we are meant to give 10% of our time. There are 24 hours in a day, 2.4 hours are meant to be given to God. It can be through a combination of studying, praying, fasting, witnessing, serving the poor or sick, being of assistance to one another, being a part of a ministry at church, fellowshipping with one another, reaching out to/visiting church family, and many other activities that glorify God. It takes work through faith.

Your flesh would have you to believe that the above is too much or too difficult to attain. You have subconsciously decided what you were and were not going to do based on your preference. Remember this: when Jesus suffered bled, and died on the Cross, all He did was wholeheartedly even though at any point He could have done whatever He wanted, He had the Power of God. He chose us and you must choose Him. Not some of Him, because that's a deception of your flesh, that's rebellion, disobedience, pride, self-righteousness (idolatry). You must seek Him for all of what He would have you to do. It takes work through faith.
