Today's sermon, "What am I Lacking?", was a warning and an encouragement to us all. It was a call-to-action to do this: SEEK THE LORD WITH ALL OUR HEARTS AND MINDS.
If we are lacking, then we must ASK God to fill us. We have been filled with the world, with ourselves all our lives. No matter how much of self-satisfaction you feed on, it will never complete you. It cannot. It will not. The Word of God says, "Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness for they shall be FILLED" Matthew 5:6. It does not mention anything about carnal fulfillment because that does not exist. It is a deception that numbs our senses and causes us to be further from God than we want to be.
That part of you that is lacking, wanting, waiting, and sometimes wishing and regretting...is the part of you that is signaling you to seek Jesus, to follow Him with your whole heart and not just your hurt feelings. And the thing about reaching out for God is this: "you WILL find Him when you seek Him with your whole heart" in the Mighty Name of Jesus.
I encourage you to seek HIm. Watch Jesus move on your heart and transform your mind from darkness to Light. May God bless and keep you in the Mighty Name of Jesus, Amen!
